News Topical, Digital Desk : US Vice President JD Vance accused Iran of spreading economic terrorism by blocking traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and warned that the US would respond.

Speaking to Fox News, Vance said that President Donald Trump has made it clear that this game can go both ways. He added that if Iran continues such actions, the US will ensure that no Iranian ship can leave.

'Now the ball is in Iran's court'

Vance also said that significant progress had been made in recent talks with Iran, but stressed that the ball was now in Iran's court. He said Tehran must show flexibility and accept key US demands, including US control of its enriched uranium and a vetting mechanism to ensure it does not develop a nuclear weapon.

What did Trump say?

President Donald Trump has said that a blockade of Iranian ports that began Monday could lead to further volatility in oil prices. His statement has raised questions about international law and cast doubt on whether this pressure tactic will force Tehran to reopen the vital strait.
