• On the day of Sita Navami, wake up at sunrise or before sunrise and after taking a bath, take a vow to fast.
• Wearing yellow clothes on this day is considered very auspicious.
• On the special occasion of Sita Navami, worship Lord Shri Ram along with Mother Sita.

• Spread a red cloth on a platform and install the idol or picture of Mother Sita and Shri Ram.
• During the worship of Sita Navami, offer yellow flowers and cosmetics to Mother Sita.
