News Topical, Digital Desk : Public anger against smart meters is steadily growing. On Saturday afternoon at 12:00, more than 40 angry women created a ruckus at the Kakaru Kothi power substation located at Rahna Nala.

Tables, chairs, and glass were broken during the protest. The uproar and demonstration continued for over half an hour. Afterward, the women returned, warning of a protest if the situation was not improved.

There was a ruckus on Friday as well

Earlier on Friday,  angry women from Himayunpur had reached the electricity substation in Suhag Nagar at 1 pm and created a ruckus and vandalized it.  Following the vandalism, the women blocked the Kanpur-Agra highway. Drivers stranded in the scorching sun were left sweating.
