News Topical, Digital Desk : Dr. Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi, the representative of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in India, has revealed a major secret about nuclear weapons. Abdul Majid said that Iran has never been interested in developing nuclear weapons because they are considered "haram" in Islam.
In fact, in an interview given to news agency ANI, Dr. Elahi accused some international organizations of 'double standards' and said that while there are sanctions against Iran and its nuclear installations are strictly monitored, some other countries do not have to face any such scrutiny.
Iran seeks peaceful power
Dr. Elahi, calling nuclear weapons forbidden, said that Iran wants nuclear power for social and humanitarian purposes, as well as peaceful power, but unfortunately, there is a double standard. Some international organizations have imposed numerous sanctions on Iran and closely monitor its nuclear power, but some other countries have nuclear power, use it, and nothing is said against them.
India-Iran relations
Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi also pointed out that the history of relations and cooperation between Iran and India dates back hundreds of years, before the rise of Islam. He said that India's achievements in mathematics, astronomy, and medicine were studied in Iran, and Iranians have always been interested in learning about the connections between the two ancient civilizations.
Dr. Elahi said, "Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, always emphasizes good relations and cooperation between Iran and India. I hope these relations will progress well in Chabahar. The history of relations and cooperation between Iran and India dates back 3,000 years, even before the rise of Islam. Even at that time, we used Indian philosophical texts."
