News Topical, Digital Desk : Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Sibi George, met with Alexander Zouev, Acting Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT). The two discussed cooperation between India and UNOCT in the fight against terrorism.

Zouev praised India's counter-terrorism efforts. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared this information in a post on X on Friday. "Secretary (West) Sibi George met Acting Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism Alexander Zouev and discussed India's strong cooperation with UNOCT in combating the threat of terrorism," he wrote in the post.

India praised

He said that during the meeting, Acting Under-Secretary-General Zouev praised India's long-standing contribution to global counter-terrorism efforts. Earlier on Wednesday, Sibi George met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and discussed the issue of UN reforms.
