Sensational kidnapping case solved in Hapur, 21-year-old youth recovered safely, 6 accused arrested

News Topical, Digital Desk : The SWAT team of Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, and the Garhmukteshwar police station have solved a sensational kidnapping case and safely recovered 21-year-old Fazil. Police have arrested six accused, including masterminds Salman and Masood, and a woman.

Police recovered ₹7.50 lakh in ransom money, illegal firearms, and the Baleno car used in the crime. This incident sent shockwaves throughout the area and posed a significant challenge for the police.

Was returning from Deoband to Gajraula

Hapur SP Gyananjay Singh, revealing the kidnapping incident, said that Fazil, son of Sharif, was returning home to Gajraula (Amroha) from Deoband on April 17th. He was abducted near the Allahbakshpur toll by accused Salman and Masood, along with their associates Akash, Rahul, and Neeraj. The SP added that the main accused, Salman and Masood, had studied at the same madrasa as Fazil's uncle and knew him well.

Held hostage in Aligarh

After kidnapping Fazil, the accused took him to Aligarh, where Rahul Tyagi, along with his wife Shikha, held him hostage in their home. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of 25 lakh rupees from the family in exchange for the young man's life. Out of fear, the family paid approximately 12.5 lakh rupees to the accused without informing the police, but when the young man did not return, the police were contacted.

All the accused were arrested

The SP stated that the case was initially under the jurisdiction of the Gajraula police, but when the location was identified as the Garhmukteshwar area, the Hapur police took over. Under their zero-tolerance policy, the police immediately formed teams. They laid a siege and arrested all the accused near Vedanta College on Syana Road. Police recovered the ransom money of ₹7.50 lakh, two illegal pistols, two live cartridges, four illegal knives, and the Baleno car used in the incident. The SP awarded a cash reward of ₹25,000 to the SWAT team and Garhmukteshwar police for this successful operation and the safe recovery of the young man.
