Azamgarh. In Azamgarh Lok Sabha and Lalganj assembly seats, BJP has been wiped out in all the assembly constituencies, but surprisingly, even its biggest leaders could not win the booths in their areas.

The BJP suffered a bad fate even at the booth of jailed muscleman Ramakant Yadav. Even BJP's regional president Sahajanand Rai and district president Suraj Prakash Srivastava lost their booths.

There is still disappointment in the BJP camp

There is still disappointment in the BJP camp due to the defeat. BJP candidates are not even going out of their homes to meet the public. SP's Dharmendra Yadav registered the second-highest victory after Akhilesh Yadav by 1.61 lakh votes in Azamgarh seat, surprising even the BJP's social media volunteers who had adopted the victory mantra of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.

Even after the booth-wise strategy of winning, even before the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, from the state president of BJP to the ministers of Yogi government, they were busy in organizing conferences of workers and giving mantras to win every booth.

Deputy CM gave the mantra of victory

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and even BJP social media volunteers were filled with enthusiasm with the mantra of victory in the midst of elections. Even after this, everything proved to be a hoax on the day of voting in both the Lok Sabhas.

SP MLA Ramakant Yadav from Phoolpur Pawai assembly constituency of Lalganj Lok Sabha constituency managed to defeat BJP at the booth in his village despite being in jail. SP got 330 votes at this booth, while BJP got 168 and BSP got only 10 votes.
