News Topical, Digital Desk : A woman from the Kotwali Nagar area has accused her in-laws of harassing her after the birth of two daughters and demanding a bike as dowry. The victim reached the SSP's office and pleaded for justice, after which the police took action and conducted medical examinations of the woman and her brother.
The victim's brother, who arrived after receiving information, was also accused of being beaten.
The victim, Anjali, stated that she was married to Saurabh, a resident of Gautam Buddha Nagar, in December 2020. She was subjected to mental and physical abuse by her in-laws immediately after the wedding. Three-year-old Sanaya and two-month-old Minky are her daughters. She alleges that her mother-in-law's behavior became even more harsh after the birth of her second daughter.
She also threatens to leave the house.
It is alleged that her mother-in-law constantly taunts her for having two daughters and beats her daily. Furthermore, she is threatened with leaving the home. The victim has also accused her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law of beating her and demanding a bike as additional dowry.
The victim woman reached the SSP office and pleaded for justice.
The woman said that when her brother went to her in-laws' house to inquire about her well-being, he was also beaten. Distressed, the victim went to the SSP's office and filed a complaint. Following this, the Kotwali Nagar police took the matter seriously and arranged for a medical examination of the injured woman and her brother. Kotwali Nagar in-charge Prempal Singh stated that an FIR has been registered and action is being taken.
