
News Topical, Digital Desk :Amethi News: A high speed tanker lost control and overturned in a field below the highway near Industrial Area Kathora under Kamarouli police station area in Amethi district. The tanker was filled with crude refined oil. Due to the overturning of the tanker, refined oil spilled in the field. When the villagers saw the refined oil in the morning, they reached the field with bottles, boxes and buckets and started taking refined oil to their homes.
Tanker driver Aman Chauhan son of Rakesh Chauhan is a resident of Devkali Raniganj police station Jagdishpur district Amethi. He told that he had left from West Bengal with 33 tonnes of crude refined oil loaded in tanker number HR38 AD-1273. Which was to be emptied after reaching Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. He had just reached near Kathora under Kamarouli police station area of Amethi district on Lucknow Varanasi National Highway at around 1:30 in the night.
Half of the oil spilled in the field due to the tanker overturning.
The driver further told that just then he saw cattle on the highway. While trying to save them, the speeding tanker went out of control and it landed in the fields below the highway and overturned. At the time of the incident, driver Aman Chauhan was alone on the tanker. After the incident, the driver informed the police. Driver Mukesh Chauhan told that due to the overturning of the tanker, almost half of the refined oil spilled out of the tanker and flowed into the fields. Which was collected by the local villagers in a box.
Police is taking action.
In this case, Kamarouli police station in-charge Mukesh Patel said that the information about the incident was received at around 2 o'clock in the night. This tanker was going from Sultanpur to Lucknow and was filled with crude refined oil. The driver was alone in the tanker. It seems that the driver fell asleep due to which he lost control of the vehicle. The tanker went down the road and overturned in the field. Police sent the driver who suffered minor injuries to the hospital for treatment. Further legal action is being taken by informing the tanker owner and other concerned.
