During this time, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50-60 km per hour. There is an alert of continuous rain in Arunachal Pradesh from 20 to 22 April.

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains with thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana and Karnataka during the next 5 days. Strong winds are likely during this period. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on 18 and 19 April. Rains with dust storms are likely at isolated places over East Rajasthan on 17 April.

There may be light rain in many districts of Uttar Pradesh today. Along with this, easterly winds will also blow. During the next 24 hours, there may be light rain in many eastern UP including Lucknow, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Mirzapur.
