Offer Durva in this way
While worshipping Lord Ganesha, one should offer 21 Durva grass to him. Doing so is considered very auspicious. This keeps the blessings of Lord Ganesha on the devotee. Along with this, while offering Durva grass to Lord Ganesha, one should also chant the mantra 'Shri Ganeshaya Namah Durvaankuran Samarpayami '. By doing so, all the obstacles in life are removed by the grace of Vighnaharta.

In the worship of Vinayak Chaturthi, you can offer Ganesh ji his favorite modak, gram flour laddu or bananas . Along with this , offering vermilion, red flowers, coconut, betel nut, Kalava and Janeu is also considered very auspicious.
