End of Ekadashi Tithi: February 13, 2026 at 02:25 PM.
Vrat Date: According to the Udaya Tithi, Vijaya Ekadashi fast will be observed on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Vrat Parana Time: Between 07:00 AM to 09:14 AM on February 14, 2026.

The significance of Vijaya Ekadashi isn't limited to the present. Legends and ancient texts mention that Lord Rama, along with his army, observed the Vijaya Ekadashi fast when they arrived at the seashore to conquer Lanka. According to the guidance of sages and saints, this fast empowered them to cross the ocean and conquer Ravana. Since then, it has been celebrated as Vijaya Ekadashi.
Simple method of worship
The method of observing this fast is very simple and sattvic:
Resolution: Wake up early in the morning, take a bath and take a resolution to fast in front of Lord Vishnu by holding water in your hand.
Kalash installation: According to scholars of scriptures , on this day, create an altar, place the seven grains (seven grains) on it, and install the Kalash. Place an idol or picture of Lord Vishnu on top of the Kalash.
Offer yellow flowers, basil leaves, fruits and Panchamrit to the Lord.
Incense and Lamp: Recite Vishnu Sahasranama or chant the mantra "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevay".
Night vigil: In this fast, one gets special benefits by staying awake at night.
Take these precautions during fasting
According to religious beliefs, consuming rice is strictly prohibited on Ekadashi. Furthermore, one should maintain a virtuous behavior on this day, avoiding anger and lying. If you cannot observe a complete fast, you can observe a fruit diet.
