According to reports, the heavy rainfall has uprooted trees on a large scale across the state, affecting villages, towns and hilly areas, while the water level of rivers and reservoirs in several districts has risen, posing a threat to residents. In Mallapuram district, a well in a banana field suddenly collapsed due to heavy rains.

A well in the house of Muhammad Ali Mukhakkavil collapsed. Due to heavy rains, the field soil became loose and the well suddenly caved in on Monday. District officials said on Monday that several tribal families from Puzhamkuni village in Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad have been shifted to relief camps as heavy rains continued. They said relief camps have been opened in Bathery and a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has also been deployed in the district.

The Kozhikode district administration has urged local residents to remain alert as the water level of Poonur Puzha has risen above the danger level at Kolikkal and above the warning level at Kunnamangalam.
