According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in many districts of the state. These include Bageshwar, Champawat, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar. According to the Uttarakhand Meteorological Department, heavy rains will be seen in many parts of the state till August 15.
Waterlogging situation in Dehradun
Even today, due to continuous rain in many areas of Dehradun district since morning, waterlogging like situation was seen. Waterlogging was seen inside the houses in these areas like Maldevta IT Park, Raipur Tapovan in Dehradun.
At present, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding heavy rains, an alert has also been issued in the state regarding this. SDRF and NDRF teams have been alerted in the districts where alert has been issued regarding rain.
Disaster Management Department alert
The Uttarakhand Disaster Management Department is already alert because a disaster has already occurred in the state, due to which the Disaster Management Department has asked all the officials to remain alert and keep their mobiles on 24 hours. At present, continuous rain is continuing in Dehradun and its surrounding areas due to which the life of the people seems to be disrupted.
Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, is seen submerged at this time. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people not to go near the rivers and streams during the rains, cross the rivers and streams only after checking the water level, do not travel in the mountains if not absolutely necessary. At present, the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami is also constantly taking stock of the areas and is also instructing the officials to deal with the situation.
