News Topical, Digital Desk : The body of a Kanwaria was found hanging from a tree in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. Police said that the body found hanging from the tree in Piran Kaliyar area is of Ravi Kumar, a resident of Bathinda. The age of the deceased Kanwaria is 30 years.
The dead body was hanging from a towel tied to a tree
Senior Sub-Inspector BS Chauhan of Piran Kaliyar police station said that information was received about the body of a Kanwariya hanging from a tree in a mango orchard in Imlikhera village late on Sunday night. He said that the police brought down the body hanging from a towel from the tree and sent it for postmortem.
Information given to the relatives of the deceased
The police officer said that the family of the deceased has been informed. The police is investigating the matter. Has the Kanwariya committed suicide or has he been murdered and the body has been hanged? The police is investigating the case from this angle as well.
A truck full of devotees overturned
On the other hand, a truck full of devotees from Haryana returning from Gangotri after collecting Ganga water overturned on the road in Chham area of Tehri district on Sunday. Due to this, 14 people travelling in the truck were injured. The condition of four of them is critical.
All the Kanwariyas of Rewari district
This accident happened near Vaildhar on Rishikesh-Gangotri National Highway. Seeing the serious condition of four injured, they were referred to the Higher Health Center in New Tehri. The seriously injured people have been identified as Anoop, Govind, Nitin and Manish. All the Kanwariyas who became victims of the accident are residents of Ramgarh village of Rewari district of Haryana. All of them had left for Haridwar from Gangotri on Saturday with Dak Kanwar.
