Saharanpur.  The vigilance team has arrested two people including the in-charge of Puwaranka Community Health Center (CHC) of Saharanpur red handed while taking bribe. The CHC in-charge used to demand 10 percent money in the name of getting incentive money for the CHO of Ayushman Arogya Mandir. These employees had complained about this to the Meerut Anti Corruption Team.

Vigilance SP Indu Siddharth from Meerut came with her team and arrested the in-charge and an accountant. A case is being registered in Dehat Kotwali.

Vigilance SP Indu Siddharth said that more than 20 employees working on contract in the Ayushman Arogya Mandir department at Puwaranka CHC had complained to her on July 17. In which it was told that the CHC in-charge of their place takes 10 percent of money from every employee in the name of getting incentives from their salary. 

Bribe demanded from employees

SP Indu Siddharth said that many employees said that they have not received the incentive amount yet. They are being demanded 10 percent in the name of getting the incentive amount. After which the team laid a trap on Saturday and sent two employees with 92 thousand 450 rupees to the residence of CHC in-charge Dr. Deshraj Singh. Accountant Sandeep Sharma was also present here. The employees gave 92 thousand 450 rupees to both of them. After which the vigilance team that came from behind caught both of them.

Investigating the money

When the CHC residence was searched, another 21 lakh rupees were found there. An investigation is being conducted to find out where this money came from. A complaint will be filed by Vigilance Inspector Girishchand in the rural police station.

Four machines were ordered for counting notes. SP Indu Siddharth of the team says that the counting of notes has not been completed yet. A total of 21 lakh 16 thousand 830 rupees have been recovered from the residence of the CHC in-charge. It will be investigated where so much money came from.
