Greater Noida: The district administration has started demolishing illegal shops built on enemy property in Shahberi village of Greater Noida West. On Wednesday, the district administration's yellow paw was used on the shops. During this, a large number of police force has been deployed on the spot.

A few months ago, the administration had also sealed the shops.

Shahberi village has been converted into a cantonment

Despite this, some shopkeepers broke the seal of their shops and started their business again. In view of the possibility of protest, Shahberi village was converted into a cantonment in the morning itself.

To avoid any kind of conflict during the action, the villagers were allowed to stay away from the shops. ACP 2 Central Rajeev Gupta said that two companies of PAC along with local police have been deployed during the action. The campaign to remove encroachment from enemy property will continue for several days.

Underground water reservoirs will be cleaned using modern technology

To ensure supply of pure water to the city residents, Greater Noida Authority will get the underground reservoir cleaned using modern technology. The Authority has issued the tender. The company will be selected in a month. Currently, cleaning is done using both normal and machine methods. There will be no fear of accidents due to the use of technology. At present, the number of UGRs is 14.

172.50 MLD ground water is being supplied daily to various sectors and villages of the city with the help of 14 UGRs and 24 overhead tanks. 45 MLD Ganga water is being supplied. Residents complain about the supply of dirty water every day.

To solve this problem, it has been decided to clean the water using modern methods. Its ACEO Ashutosh Dwivedi said that the authority is constantly trying to supply pure water in the city. Regular monitoring is also done. It has been decided to clean all UGRs using modern technology. The tender has been issued after the approval of the CEO.
