Mawana (Meerut): Meerut News: Negligence reached its peak in Primary Pathshaala Number One on Saturday. The teachers locked a six-year-old girl in a room and went home. Hours later, when the women and villagers present in the temple premises heard the cries and screams, they rushed to rescue her.
The villagers also burst out in anger. On receiving the information, Block Education Officer Trivendra Singh and SO Bahsuma Indu Verma reached there and opened the lock and took the girl out. On the other hand, BSA has suspended the headmistress Anita Rani with immediate effect.
In village Akbarpur Sadat of block education area Mawana, there is Primary School Number One located in the temple premises itself, in which there are Headmistress Anita Rani and three female teachers and one Shiksha Mitra looking after about 150 children. A week back, a six year old girl was admitted in Class I. After the school was over at around 2 PM, the Headmistress along with the staff closed the school and went home. When the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha going on in the temple ended at around 3.30 PM, the women and villagers present there heard the sound of the girl crying while locked in the room. Meanwhile, the girl's father and other relatives also reached there while searching for her.
The village head informed the SDM
Village head Deepak Kumar informed SDM Mawana Ankit Kumar. On which Block Education Officer Trivendra Singh and Bahsuma Police Station Incharge Indu Verma also reached. Meanwhile, Shiksha Mitra also reached with the school keys and opened the lock and took the girl out.
BSA suspended
BSA Asha Chaudhary considered it to be negligence and suspended the headmistress Anita Rani. On the other hand, when the headmistress Anita Rani was contacted on phone regarding the incident, she only said that I am unwell, I will talk later. On the other hand, police station in-charge Indu Verma said that the girl's father has given a written statement saying that no action will be taken.
When I opened my eyes I found myself locked in a dark room
The girl who came out of the closed room told the Block Education Officer and the people present that she had fallen asleep on the bench. When she opened her eyes, the room was dark. She tried to open the door and window, but they were closed. The girl's throat also became dry due to crying and screaming.
