Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has taken an important decision to provide five minutes extra time to the candidates in the constable recruitment exam. Recruitment Board Chairman/DG Rajiv Krishna says that the candidates had demanded to provide five minutes extra in the exam time. On which the board has decided to provide five minutes extra.

Guidelines have been given to the centre administrators and other concerned officials regarding the extra time. UP Police has also shared this information on its X account. An officer says that sometimes due to checking of candidates and other reasons related to security, some candidates get delayed by one or two minutes. Due to this, the candidates had demanded that extra time be provided.

The constable recruitment exam will be held in two shifts on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August. The first shift exam will be from 10 am to 12 noon and the second shift exam will be from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Candidates should make a second attempt on the website after 20 minutes of the first attempt

Candidates can check the district of their examination centre on the website of the recruitment board. This facility was started at 5 pm on Friday. According to the officials of the recruitment board, till now more than 24 lakh candidates have downloaded the district information slip.

In case of problems in downloading information due to high pressure on the website, candidates are advised to try again after about 20 minutes if they fail in one attempt. The admit card will be available on the website three days before the exam date.
