After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the US State Department has advised its citizens not to travel to Jammu and Kashmir. The advisory said that many cities in India are on high alert after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

 

America warned

The US State Department has said in its advisory that American citizens are reminded that the State Department has issued an advisory against traveling to Jammu and Kashmir. It says that terrorist attacks and violent civil unrest are possible in Jammu and Kashmir.

Let us tell you, India on Wednesday suspended the 1960 Indus Water Treaty in view of cross-border relations after the Pahalgam terrorist attack and announced reducing diplomatic relations with Pakistan, which also includes expelling its military diplomats from India.

 

What action did India take

India has also decided to close the Attari check post with immediate effect. In addition, the country has decided to cancel all visas issued under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) and ordered Pakistani citizens to leave the country within 48 hours.

 

India has declared defence/military, naval and air advisers in the Pakistani High Commission as persona non grata and ordered them to leave India within a week. As a security measure, India has decided to withdraw its defence, naval and air advisers from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
