Houston: An Indian-origin judge in America has had to go behind bars for a small mistake. Everyone is surprised that the judge who used to send criminals to jail is going to jail as a criminal himself. Perhaps the judge would not have thought that one day he too would have to go to jail. It is alleged that Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George had released false information about himself on social media with the intention of influencing the result of his election. Therefore, he was sent to jail on Thursday evening.
According to Fort Bend County judicial records, George was charged at 7:17 p.m. with misconduct related to spreading false information on social media to influence voters during his election as a judge. A statement from George's office said he was released from jail on personal recognizance (PR), meaning he was released after signing a written agreement to appear in court at a scheduled time and abide by all conditions of release.
This became the reason for the judge to go to jail
During his election campaign in 2022, George claimed that he was the victim of "racist and xenophobic" attacks. However, there are allegations that he did this to gain sympathy and support. A warrant was sent to George's house after he returned from India. He carried out this fraud in connivance with his former Chief of Staff Taral Patel. Patel allegedly created fake profiles to attack himself and George to gain sympathy.
Patel was arrested in June. During his successful election campaign in 2022, George had claimed that he was the victim of "racist and xenophobic" attacks. Democrat George contested against Republican Nehls.
