In a press conference, Mayawati said, "We have already announced that we will contest the assembly elections alone, but some people and the media are engaging in a nefarious conspiracy to tarnish our image. This is an anti-BSP agenda. People should not pay attention to such reports. The Congress, SP, and BJP have a narrow mindset and are against Baba Saheb."
Why did Mayawati refuse the alliance?
She said that forming an alliance with them harms the BSP. BSP members are determined to contest the elections alone. Like in 2007, the BSP will contest the elections alone and win.
