News Topical, Digital Desk : UP News: A case has come to light in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, of a colonel of the Indian Army vandalizing a house along with some of his army colleagues due to a family dispute. The entire incident is from Vajidpur village of Baraut Kotwali area. The army men were wearing uniforms and had brought a vehicle with them, which is said to be of the army. After the vandalism, the army men took away the iron gate of the house and other items in the vehicle. People from the aggrieved side made a video on their mobile and gave the video to the police along with the complaint. After this, the police registered a case and sent the report of the entire incident to the Army Headquarters and New Delhi.

According to the information, Dheer Singh Tomar, son of Kaluram, a resident of Vajidpur village, told the police that he retired from the post of Principal from the Inter College of Sarurpur Kherki village in the year 2012 and currently lives in the village with his wife Sushila and minor granddaughter Himanshi. He started building a house on his ancestral land in the village in December last year, which he gifted to his granddaughter Himanshi. His son and Himanshi's father died in the year 2011.

The lock of the house was broken earlier

He told that as soon as the construction of the house was completed, his younger brother Rishipal and his son Colonel Tarun Kumar broke the lock of his house on 17 May 2025. On 19 May, around 2 pm, Rishipal and his wife and son Colonel Tarun Kumar brought some of their army colleagues who were in an army vehicle. There was a white paper pasted on the number plate of the vehicle. They broke the lock of the house and destroyed the stuff kept in it. They broke the main and inner doors of the house with hammers. After this, a dispute broke out between the two parties.

What did the police say?

When his granddaughter Himanshi made a video of this dispute on her mobile, the accused beat her up and abused her. Not only this, they also threatened to shoot her. After this, they took away all the house gate and other items in an army vehicle. On this entire dispute, Barot Kotwali Inspector Manoj Kumar Chahal said that on the complaint of Dheer Singh Tomar, a case has been registered against Colonel Tarun Kumar and some unknown army colleagues, all these people had come in army uniform.

He said that this is a family dispute. Action is being taken on the basis of the video. A report of the entire matter has been prepared and sent to the Army Headquarters, Delhi, after which further action will be taken. 

In this context, CO Barot Vijay Kumar said that in village Vajidpur under Barot police station area, there is a dispute between two brothers 1-Dhir Singh and 2-Rishipal sons of late Kaluram regarding ancestral land, in which a stay was also imposed by the court. On May 19, 2025, Rishipal, his wife and his son (who is serving in the army) beat up the plaintiff Dheer Singh Tomar and uprooted his door and took it away. A case has been registered at Barot police station regarding this incident. The report has been sent to the Army Headquarters.
