News Topical, Digital Desk : A horrific road accident occurred on National Highway 2 near Atsarai in the Saini police station area of Kaushambi district, Uttar Pradesh. Eight people, including three children, were killed in this tragic accident. It is being reported that all the victims were residents of Karauli village in Fatehpur district and were returning from Prayagraj in a pickup truck after a tonsure ceremony. Following the accident, there was widespread outcry and screaming, and a police team was also present at the scene.
In fact, approximately 18 people from Karauli village in Fatehpur had traveled to Prayagraj in a pickup truck for a mundan ceremony. After the ceremony, everyone was returning to their village. Meanwhile, their pickup truck met with a horrific accident on NH-2 near Atsarai in the Saini police station area. The accident was so severe that several people died on the spot, while many others were seriously injured. Following the accident, local residents and passersby immediately informed the police and began rescue operations.
CM Yogi took cognizance of the accident
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the road accident in Kaushambi district and expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He directed officials to immediately reach the scene and expedite relief work.
Eight people were reported dead, several injured
Upon receiving information about the accident, police from the Saini police station and the highway police arrived at the scene and sent the injured to the nearest hospital via ambulance. The seriously injured have been referred to Prayagraj for better treatment. The condition of some of the injured is reported to be critical. Three children are among the dead.
Police are currently investigating the entire incident and trying to determine the cause of the accident. Initial information suggests that speeding and vehicle loss of control are believed to be the causes of the accident. This tragic accident has left the families of the deceased in shock and the entire area in mourning.
