Police across the district have been put on alert due to the terrorist threats, and several locations have been searched. So far, no suspicious items have been recovered. According to information received, unidentified individuals have sent threatening emails claiming that the ISI and former LTTE militants are conspiring and preparing to carry out explosions in four areas of Tirupati.

According to information received regarding this incident, police received two suspicious emails. Unidentified individuals sent threatening emails alleging that the ISI and former LTTE militants are plotting a conspiracy based in Tamil Nadu. They threatened to detonate RDX explosives in four areas of Tirupati.

What action has the police taken so far?

Bomb disposal teams conducted intensive checks in several areas of Tirupati following a terrorist threat. Vigilant police inspected the RTC bus stand, Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasam, Kapila Tirutham, and Govindarajula Swamy Temple areas in Tirupati. Police also inspected the judges' residential complex and court areas. On the 6th of this month, an inspection was conducted at the Agricultural College helipad in view of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's visit to Tirupati.

Similarly, Divisional Police teams searched the Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanur, the Tirumala Temple, and the Srikalahasti Temple. Devotees are expressing concern after receiving a bomb threat against Tirupati. Police have conducted an intensive investigation, yet no bombs have been found. This is now being considered a hoax.
