News Topical, Digital Desk : Constable Lalitesh Yadav's wife and eight-year-old son were murdered by his girlfriend in the STF colony of Durg district in Chhattisgarh.
The accused woman stabbed the constable's wife and son multiple times. She also attacked the 11-year-old elder daughter, but she managed to escape by hiding in the bathroom. The younger daughter ran out of the house and alerted neighbors.
The police have arrested the accused. The case is said to be related to a love affair. Constable Lalitesh Yadav is currently posted in Bijapur and had come to Durg on a 15-day leave.
He had gone out for some work at around 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. During this time, the accused asked the constable's wife, Reena, for something to eat.
When she went into the kitchen, the accused stabbed her sleeping son approximately 14 times. Upon leaving the kitchen, he also stabbed Reena 18 times. Both daughters were home at the time of the incident.
Locals arrived at the scene, apprehended the accused, and informed the police. Both men, who were seriously injured, were taken to a hospital in Bhilai, where they later died.
