News Topical, Digital Desk : A family in Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu, faced tragedy when three members of the same family died in a road accident. Sivaganga Superintendent of Police Shiv Prasad himself provided information about the incident, stating that the accident occurred due to a collision with a police vehicle.
What is the whole matter?
Three members of a family, including a two-year-old child, were killed when their two-wheeler collided head-on with a police vehicle in Sivaganga district on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Prasad (25), his wife Satya (20) and their son Ashwin (2).
The family was returning to their village after picking up a relative, Sonai Easwari (25), from Ananjiyur when the accident occurred near Sakkudi.
A speeding police vehicle belonging to the Ramanathapuram district police collided head-on with the two-wheeler. Prasad died on the spot, while Satya and their child died on the way to the hospital. Sonai Ishwari sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at the government Rajaji Hospital, according to Sivaganga Superintendent of Police Shiv Prasad.
It's worth noting that every day, many people in the country die in road accidents, with speeding being a major cause. It's been repeatedly found that people don't follow traffic rules while driving, resulting in accidents and loss of life. In the latest incident, a police vehicle collided with a two-wheeler, killing three members of the same family. When the police themselves don't enforce traffic rules, how can the public be expected to follow them? This is a serious question.
