News Topical, Digital Desk : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah distributed appointment letters to newly selected constables at a ceremony held at the Police Academy in Jaipur on Saturday (January 10). Addressing a public gathering, he praised the work of the Bhajan Lal Sharma government in the state. He stated that the appointment of 9,000 constables will further strengthen law and order. These young people have been recruited and given jobs in a transparent manner, without any expense or recommendation.
Amit Shah said, "Jobs have been given without corruption, respecting talent. This is the first major recruitment in the Rajasthan Police since the Indian Penal Code came into effect. Implementation of the new law will make things easier." He also said that his government has fulfilled its promise of improving law and order in Rajasthan.
Paper leaks have ended under the Bhajan Lal government: Amit Shah
The Union Home Minister further stated, "The paper leaks that had been taking place in Rajasthan during the Congress rule have ended under the Bhajan Lal government. The Bhajan Lal Sharma government stopped the paper leaks. Despite the international border stretching over 1,000 kilometers, law and order is much better here. Since Bhajan Lal's government came to power, crime has decreased by 14%. Crimes of all kinds have decreased."
Massive investment in Rajasthan: Amit Shah
He also said that in Rajasthan, the culprits are being punished in more than half of the cases. Efforts are being made to further strengthen law and order. Bhajan Lal Sharma's government has also facilitated large-scale investment in Rajasthan.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the Maheshwari Global Convention and Expo 2026 held at the Polytechnic College grounds in Jodhpur and addressed the public gathering. This event was met with considerable enthusiasm among the Maheshwari community. Shah began his address by praising the Maheshwari community and recalling its glorious history.
He said, "The Maheshwari community has always contributed to every field in the country. Whether it's the Maheshwari Ratnas spread across the country and abroad, the achievements of those who have reached high positions, or serving the nation while remaining connected to their original community, the Maheshwari community has set an example everywhere. Whether it was production, trading, manufacturing, or technology, this community has always demonstrated progressiveness."
