News Topical, Digital Desk : The demand for the Bharat Ratna for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has once again begun to rise. Senior JDU leader and central leader KC Tyagi wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding the Bharat Ratna for Nitish Kumar. Many Bihar leaders are supporting this demand, calling Nitish Kumar worthy of the Bharat Ratna. However, Chirag Paswan, supremo of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), which is part of the NDA, has bluntly responded that there is a process for awarding the Bharat Ratna; this honor is not bestowed by request or desire.
"Bharat Ratna is not given just by wishing for it."
In fact, after a long time, Chirag Paswan reached Patna from Delhi on Saturday (January 10). While speaking to the media on the demand for Bharat Ratna for Nitish Kumar, he said, "The highest honour like Bharat Ratna is given after going through a lot of process. Who should be given it or who should not be given it, cannot be decided by asking for it or by someone's wish. I think the process behind it, whoever is deserving will definitely be given it."
However, he also praised Nitish Kumar and said that in the last two decades, Bihar has progressed under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and I believe that he deserves this right.
What did he say about Lalu Yadav?
On the question of whether charges have been framed against RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family, Chirag Paswan said that this is part of the legal process and that he has always respected the law. He added that this country runs on the basis of law. He said that based on the facts, they must have been proven guilty somewhere, which is why charges have been framed against them. Time will tell whether the punishment will be imposed or not, but it is certain that the court will frame charges only after the facts are revealed.
