"Dhurandhar" was shot in various parts of India. The house of Rehman Dacoit shown in "Lyari" is a huge mansion in Amritsar. On January 6, cinema enthusiast Jatin Mithrani shared a video on Instagram showing "Lal Kothi" in Amritsar, Punjab, where Rehman Dacoit's mansion was shot. Sharing the video, Jatin wrote in the caption, “Looks like Lyari isn't that far away.”

These films were shot before 'Dhurandhar'

Deepak Yadav, caretaker of Amritsar's Lal Kothi, said in an interview, "Many films have been shot here, including Rishi Kapoor and Rekha's film 'Sadiyan'. Last year, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, and Ranveer Singh came here for shooting. Sunny Deol has also come here with his son Karan Deol. This building does not belong to any one person, but has been purchased by a trust."

This is how much money the makers of Dhurandhar spent in one day

The makers spared no expense in transforming the Lal Kothi in Punjab, India, into the lyari home of Rehman the Dacoit. Deepak Yadav explained that when this historic building is rented out for shooting, it charges 50,000 rupees per day.

On April 2, 2023, Peter Bennis, a historian and author by profession, shared details of Lal Kothi and said that it was reportedly built in the 19th century by an industrialist in 1876.
