Life looked perfect from the outside. I was trying to be a good wife, but with time the cracks started appearing and the marriage broke.”
She left her husband's house with her daughter
Rukhsar left her husband's house overnight with her 8-month-old daughter. About this, she said, “One night, I packed as much as I could and left. My daughter was just 8 months old, sleeping, unaware that our lives were about to change. I kept asking myself, 'Am I doing the right thing?' But I knew I had tried everything. When my father opened the door, he didn't ask any questions - he just said, 'You will be fine.'”
Made a comeback with Ram Gopal Varma's film
Rukhsar told that after separating from her husband, she opened a garment boutique in her hometown Rampur, but her heart was in acting. One day she left her daughter with her parents and again set out to live acting. She faced many rejections but did not give up. She made a comeback in 2005 with Ram Gopal Varma's film D. Rukhsar married film director Farooq Kabir for the second time in 2010, from whom she separated in 2023.
