News Topical, Digital Desk : Rui Miguens de Oliveira, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Angola, said that he sees India as a very strong economy. Speaking to ANI about his meeting with Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Oliveira said that it was a very important meeting. During the meeting, ideas were discussed to build stronger ties between the two countries.
Commerce Minister Rui Miguens de Oliveira said, “During the meeting, we exchanged views on how to build stronger relations between Angola and India. This meeting was an opportunity for us to explore ways to improve our relationship. We see the Indian economy, especially in recent times, as very strong and growing quite rapidly.”
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal also held talks on bilateral trade with Mozambique's Secretary of State for Trade, Antonio Grispos. The two met on the sidelines of the CII Partnership Summit 2025. "Met with Mozambique's Secretary of State for Trade, Antonio Grispos. Discussed further opportunities to enhance bilateral trade and cooperation between the two countries," Piyush Goyal said in a post on X.
Andhra Pradesh a strategic growth engine for India
Andhra Pradesh was placed at the centre of India's next phase of growth, with business leaders announcing concrete plans for finance, skills and healthcare at the CII Partnership Summit 2025 held in Visakhapatnam.
Sanjiv Bajaj, CMD of Bajaj Finserv, said the state is "not just a state, but a strategic growth engine for India," noting its coastal zone, infrastructure and governance as a gateway to "business, technology, digital and technological innovation."
Plan to cover over 30 lakh Andhra residents
He said that a modern and inclusive financial system must keep pace with this evolution and Bajaj Finserv looks forward to "enabling every Andhraite on their own journey." He said that the company expects to "cover over 3 million Andhraites, individuals, small businesses in Andhra Pradesh alone this year, with disbursements of over ₹15,000 crore."
He also spoke about skill development, saying that the Rahul Bajaj Skills Centre of Excellence has established skill development and career counseling centers not only in Amaravati but also in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Sri City. Plans are also underway for Rajahmundry and other locations. Healthcare sector leaders also emphasized this theme.
