News Topical, Digital Desk : Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has stressed the need to set up cow shelters, pathshalas and hospitals to teach and preach Sanatan Dharma in every temple in the southern state.
He suggested that the Devasthanam Board could implement this task. Medical facilities should also be made available in all temples, Arlekar said after unveiling a bronze statue of Lord Shiva at the Sri Rajarajeshwara Temple at Taliparamba here on Saturday evening.
Governor's suggestion
He said, "All our temples should have a 'goshala' where all stray cattle should be brought. This is our primary responsibility. Many people will be ready to donate for the 'goshala'."
He said, “We also have to establish an educational institution. This is mandatory. Otherwise, who will pass on the teachings and preachings of our Sanatana Dharma to the next generation?”
The Governor said that 'Manav Seva' is 'Madhav Seva'. Therefore, we should also provide hospital facilities. Patient service is mandatory. These three things can be established by the Devasthanam Board.
What did the Governor demand?
Arlekar said that people are ready to donate for anything when we ask them. We have to go to them. This is the need of the hour. Whatever comes at the feet of God and the temple should be given back to the public, society and people. They should be given this facility in the form of a 'goshala', an educational institution and a hospital or medical facility. We have to do all these things.
