The Indian Foreign Minister has clearly said about America's controversial bill related to Russia that if it affects India's interests, then it will be dealt with in that situation. He said that India is completely alert about this bill.

 

Jaishankar's statement

Jaishankar said, "Anything that can affect our interests matters to us." He said that the Indian Embassy and the Indian Ambassador to the US are in constant touch with US Congressman Lindsey Graham. India's energy and strategic needs have been put forward to the US side.

We have shared with them our energy, "security-related concerns. If any such situation arises, we will deal with it," Jaishankar said.

This proposed bill brought by US Senator Lindsey Graham states that America will impose a tariff of 500 percent on any country buying oil, gas, uranium or other goods from Russia.

This bill is in a very strong position in the US Parliament and has the support of 80 senators. In this situation, this bill can also overcome the veto power of the President.
