The interrogation revealed that Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Umar had conducted a recce of the Red Fort in the first week of January. This information was obtained from the dump data on Dr. Muzammil's phone. During the interrogation, the investigating agency also learned that part of their plan was to target the Red Fort on January 26th. They were also planning to target a crowded place on Diwali.
13 people have died so far
On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana police seized 2,900 kg of ammonium nitrate from Faridabad. Hours later, the blast occurred near the Red Fort. Police sources say Dr. Umar was a member of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist module, which also included Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Adil Ahmed Dar. The death toll in the Delhi blasts has risen to 13, and 21 injured people are currently being treated in hospital. Many of these are in critical condition.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has taken Hafiz Ishtiaq from Faridabad to Srinagar. It should be noted that Dr. Muzammil had rented Hafiz Ishtiaq's house. 2563 kg of explosives were found in a room in the house Muzammil rented from Hafiz Ishtiaq. The NIA is also questioning Hafiz Ishtiaq.
