News Topical, Digital Desk : This time the Kanwar Yatra is starting from 11th July. In such a situation, the government has issued a guideline regarding the Yatra. In the Inter-State Coordination Committee meeting on Friday, the Kanwar Yatra was discussed in detail and many important decisions were taken in it. To make the Kanwar Yatra safe and smooth, the Inter-State Coordination Committee meeting discussed real time coordination, strict action on rumors, security, crowd management and crackdown on hooligans. 

It was decided in the meeting of the Inter-State Coordination Committee that the height of the Kanwad will not exceed 10 feet and this rule will be strictly enforced. Information on what to do and what not to do for Kanwad pilgrims will be mandatorily displayed on the travel routes. 

Officers from six states participated

A meeting was held in the Haridwar Mela Control Room on Friday under the chairmanship of Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan. Senior officials from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan were present in this meeting. During this, guidelines were decided regarding the Kanwar Yatra. The Chief Secretary said that it is the top priority of the government to conduct the Kanwar Yatra in a safe, well-organized and harmonious environment. Real time data and information should be exchanged between all the states, so that immediate coordination can be done in case of emergency. 

All states will share real time updates

In the interstate meeting, mutual cooperation was agreed upon between all the states for conducting a peaceful, well-organized and coordinated Kanwar fair. A strategy was made for traffic control on Delhi Haridwar National Highway-58, crowd of Dak Kanwar and arrangement of alternative routes. Preparations for Kanwar track route and parking were also reviewed. Uttarakhand Director General of Police Deepam Seth said that real time information will be shared between all the states. 

Rate list is necessary on Dhabas

It was decided in the meeting that loud music systems will not be installed outside vehicles. It will be banned by giving prior notice to the operators. The SOP made on alcohol and meat will be strictly followed. Separate information groups will be formed in three categories. It will be mandatory to follow safety standards in dhabas and hotels. Rate list will be pasted. Information will be given to Uttar Pradesh from time to time about the parking situation in Haridwar.
