Pooja Bedi's mother's last wish
"I am very sad that she left this world before she turned 50. I wish I had done more for her but she was a woman who lived life on her own terms. She lived her life on her own terms and died her own way, literally. She always said she wanted to die in nature and be one with nature," Pooja Bedi said in an interview to Screen.
Pooja Bedi further explained what her mother wanted. She said, “At the end of this beautiful life, she did not want to be pushed into a crematorium where a show of immersing her ashes in the Ganga would be made. She wanted to merge with nature. This was going to be a grand finale and that is what happened. Her body was never found. She had become one with the universe. She was an amazing energy.”
These things were handed over to the daughter before dying
Pooja Bedi told that her mother suddenly handed over all her things to her. She said, “She came to me, wrote her will, gave me her jewellery, gave me all her documents, gave me her property papers and said, 'You don't know.' I said, 'Why are you doing so much drama?' And she just said, 'You don't know darling.' She handed over everything to me and said, 'Siddharth (Pooja's brother) is no more, he has committed suicide. I have handed over Nrityagram to Lin Fernandez. You are my only support. I want you to let me go.”
Pooja told that after this her mother went to Kullu Manali and from there she wrote a 12 page letter for her. In that letter she wrote about her life and said that she is very happy in Kullu-Manali.
