News Topical, Digital Desk : Security forces have achieved a significant and decisive success against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. Six Maoists were killed today in a joint operation by the Chhattisgarh Police, the District Reserve Guard (DRG), and the Special Task Force (STF) in the district's National Park area.

The biggest achievement of this encounter is the killing of Maoist Kanna alias Buchanna, who was carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh.

According to police officials, Kanna alias Buchanna had long been involved in spreading violence, intimidation, and Maoist activities in the region. This action is being considered a major step towards eradicating the "red terror."

The Chief Minister praised the soldiers

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai praised the security forces for this major success. He said this achievement was a clear result of the "excellent coordination, courage, and precise strategy" of our police forces. He congratulated all the personnel involved in the operation.

Aim to eliminate it by 2026 in 'mission mode'

Chief Minister Sai reiterated his government's commitment to combating Naxalism on the occasion. He said, "The Chhattisgarh government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is working in mission mode with the resolve to completely eradicate Naxalism by March 31, 2026."

He stressed that the state government and all security agencies are united and fully committed to taking this fight to its decisive end.
