News Topical, Digital Desk : India's Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Anil Chauhan has made a big statement regarding Operation Sindoor launched against Pakistan. CDS Chauhan said on Tuesday that after Operation Sindoor, India's armed forces have learned many lessons and these need to be incorporated into the planned theatreization model. CDS Anil Chauhan has stressed that India should have ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) and combat capabilities in every corner of Pakistan.

Better preparation around the clock is very important

India's Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Anil Chauhan, addressing a session at the 'India Defence Conclave 2025' organised by defence think tank Bharat Shakti, said, "For the armed forces, this should become the new normal for us as well. This will mean improved operational preparedness around the clock, which I think is crucial. We should be better prepared in our air defence, dealing with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and electronic warfare. This should be the new normal because this is the kind of warfare we are expecting."

CDS Anil Chauhan stressed during the session that "technologically we have to stay ahead of the enemy. Last time we targeted only static targets, but in future we may have to think about attacking moving targets as well."

What did CDS say on joint command?

On the planned "theaterization" (joint command of the three services), CDS Anil Chauhan said, "After Operation Sindoor, we have learned many lessons. They need to be incorporated into the model we have worked on." He added, "We have the experiences of Uri, Balakot, (Operation) Sindoor, Galwan, Doklam, Covid. So we need to incorporate that particular experience and create an organizational structure that is suitable for all seasons."
