News Topical, Digital Desk : The investigation into the suspicious death of a junior doctor, a first-year MD student at the Mental Health Institute and Hospital in Agra, has now focused on the mobile phone and the viscera report. The deceased's body arrived at the family's Ashiana residence on Tuesday, and her brother said the police have sent the mobile phone for examination and are awaiting the viscera report. These reports are expected to reveal the true cause of death.
The deceased's brother said that his sister had gone to Agra three days ago after staying at home for a few days. "If we had known she would take such a step, we wouldn't have let her go," he said. The family is currently in deep shock. The parents are in too much of a state to speak.
According to the brother, a police report will be filed once the situation returns to normal. It's worth noting that the junior doctor was found dead in her hostel room on Sunday. The post-mortem report failed to determine the cause of death, and the viscera has been preserved. Investigating agencies will now take further action based on the mobile data and viscera report.
The institute administration has also formed a three-member committee to investigate the entire matter. The family has stated that they will decide on further legal action only after the report is received. Police officials say that all aspects are being investigated and the future course of action will be clear based on the report.
This is the matter
The first-year MD student enrolled at the Mental Health Institute and Hospital on February 22nd of this year and was living in the campus hostel. On Sunday, when her mother called her repeatedly but she didn't answer the phone, her friends were sent to her room. The room was locked from inside, and upon breaking the lock, she was found lying on the bed.
Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors declared her dead. Preliminary investigations revealed that the student had been suffering from mental stress and was undergoing treatment. She had attempted suicide on March 27th, after which she was placed under observation.
The family also accused a senior doctor of harassment, which the investigation did not confirm. However, the doctor in question was barred from entering the institute. All eyes are now on the investigation report, which is expected to solve the mystery behind this mysterious death.
