New Delhi. Janmashtami 2024: Every year the festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. It is a religious belief that Lord Krishna was incarnated on this date. Therefore this day is celebrated as Janmashtami. On this auspicious occasion, Lord Krishna is worshiped in a proper manner. Also, favorite things are offered. It is believed that by doing this, the devotee gets happiness and peace. If you want to please Lord Krishna on Janmashtami, then definitely offer Makhan Mishri. It is believed that by offering Makhan Mishri to the Lord, the life of the devotee remains full of happiness.

Apart from this, you can also include coriander panjiri in the offering. Coriander is also considered a symbol of wealth and prosperity. It is believed that offering coriander panjiri pleases God and all kinds of problems related to wealth are resolved.

If Charanamrit is not offered to Lord Krishna, then the bhog is considered incomplete. Therefore , one must offer Charanamrit to the Lord on Janmashtami .

According to the Panchang, the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 3:39 pm. At the same time, it will end on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 02:19 am. In such a situation, Janmashtami will be celebrated on August 26.

Bhoga Mantra (Bhog Mantra)

On the day of Janmashtami, while offering prasad to Laddu Gopal, one should chant the following mantra. There is a religious belief that without chanting the mantra, Lord Krishna does not accept the prasad.

The meaning of this mantra is that O Lord, whatever I have is given by you. I am offering it to you. Kindly accept this offering from me.
