After lighting the lamp, collect the remaining wick for 10 consecutive days. On the 11th day, burn all these wicks by adding camphor and four cloves and spread its smoke in the whole house. After this, keep this lamp on the roof of your house. Doing this helps in removing negative energy.
Use the ashes in this way
After burning the remaining wick of the puja in the above manner, you can also use its ash. If you apply a tilak of this ash, then you can avoid the evil eye. If a child is affected by the evil eye, then rotate this ash seven times on his head and then put it in a tree.
You can do these measures
You can also immerse the burnt wick in a flowing river. If it is not possible for you to do this, then you can also bury the puja wick in the soil. This will save you from the negative consequences of throwing the wick.
