How Kareena Kapoor got Bajrangi Bhaijaan
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, director Kabir Khan gave an interview to the Indian Express. Kabir Khan told how Kareena Kapoor Khan became a part of this film starring Salman Khan. Kabir said, “I always knew that Rasika's character is very small, but she was the link of the film. From day one, I was sure that I wanted to see Kareena playing this character. When I went to meet her, I told her straight away that it is a small role, but you should hear the whole story before taking any decision. And when she heard the whole script, tears came to her eyes. She said that she wants to be a part of it.”
Was the film offered to Aamir Khan first?
There is another interesting story about the film. Screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad had first approached Aamir Khan for this film. But Aamir suggested Salman's name. When this film reached Kabir, Salman was the first one who came to his mind as Bajrangi. Kabir told that this is because during the shooting of Ek Tha Tiger, Kabir had seen something in Salman that makes him perfect for Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
