It was reported that this incident occurred on October 5th. The victim made several visits to the police station, but the police refused to listen to him. Exhausted, the victim met with Superintendent of Police Dr. Diksha Sharma and explained the incident. On the Superintendent's orders, the police registered a case against one named and two unidentified individuals and began investigating the matter.

What is the matter?

Umesh Babu Verma, a resident of Simnaudi village in the Sumerpur police station area, said that he was on his way to the market on October 5th. Abhay Singh, a resident of the village, was sitting on the roadside with two unidentified companions. Upon seeing him, they stopped him, hurled casteist abuses at him over an old incident, forced him to lick their shoes, and then beat him up, breaking his arm.

Police registered a case and started investigation

The victim stated that he reported the incident to the local police, but they turned him away. He submitted a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, demanding action. Twelve days later, the police filed a case against Abhay Singh and two unidentified associates, naming them under various sections, including Dalit harassment. Sumerpur Police Station Officer Anup Singh stated that the case was registered based on the victim's complaint and the matter is being investigated.
