News Topical, Digital Desk : From the 90s to the present day, during the Gen-Z era, Shah Rukh Khan has remained undisturbed. His popularity continues to drive audiences. If there's one actress who brought "King" Khan to Bollywood, it's Hema Malini.
Hema Malini is the actress who offered Shah Rukh Khan his first film, "Dil Aashna Hai." The "Dream Girl" herself directed the film. Shah Rukh Khan once revealed what Hema Malini told him when she first offered him the film. Not only that, when the Sholay actress personally combed his hair, the actor swore a serious oath. Let's tell you what that oath was.
Shah Rukh had taken this oath
Talking about his initial struggles, Shah Rukh Khan told Aap Ki Adalat that when Hema Malini first called him for work, she said, "You'll have to do makeup and all that." However, being new to the industry, Shah Rukh Khan wasn't sure about it and told the dream girl, “I'm a Delhi boy and I don't know much about makeup.”
The young actor also recalled the incident when Hema Malini combed his hair. The actor said, "Hema ji came to me and combed my hair. That very day, I decided and vowed that I would never leave Mumbai." Shah Rukh explained that it was a small gesture for him that he had been accepted here.
This film was released before Dil Aashna
Shah Rukh Khan may have shot his debut film 'Dil Aashna Hai' with Hema Malini, but his first film to release in theatres was the 1992 film 'Deewana', in which he starred alongside Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor.
King Khan played the second lead, but he won over audiences with a song and his acting. Directed by Hema Malini, Dil Aashna Hai starred opposite Divya Bharti, Amrita Singh, and Mithun Chakraborty.
