Manipur Police said that Manipur Police, Assam Rifles / Army and other security forces have recovered a large quantity of weapons from the hill districts of the state. Many of these weapons were capable of causing large-scale destruction. Along with the weapons, ammunition used in them has also been recovered. According to Manipur Police, security forces conducted a massive search operation in the hill districts of Manipur on the night of July 3, which was completed on the morning of July 4.
The security forces had received information that weapons and ammunition were hidden in different districts. Based on this information, joint teams of Manipur Police, Assam Rifles / Army and CAPF started a search operation. Based on intelligence, different teams of security forces started simultaneous search operations at several places in the interior and suspicious areas of Tengnoupal, Kangpokpi, Chandel and Churachandpur districts. During this, a large quantity of weapons were recovered.

He said that this recovery of weapons reflects the efforts of the security forces. Manipur Police, Assam Rifles / Army and Central Security Forces personnel are deployed to normalize the situation in Manipur. All these teams are conducting a joint operation so that the anarchic elements can be weakened and peace can be established in the state.
