Saying 'I am a policeman', he kidnapped a young man from Delhi, then demanded ransom, this is how the whole planning got exposed

Delhi Extortion Case: A shocking incident has come to light in Delhi's Kishangarh area, where five youths kidnapped a young man by claiming to be police officers and demanded extortion money. But their filmy conspiracy did not last long, due to the victim's intelligence and the swift investigation of the police, all the accused were caught.

The police have arrested five youths named Pravesh, Aryaman Chaudhary, Hrithik, Dev Anand Yadav and Sarman Rai in this sensational incident. They belong to Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh and are in the age group of 22 to 25 years.

According to DCP Amit Goyal, the incident took place on the night of June 15, when a young man from Munirka was suddenly stopped by some strangers on the road. They forcibly made him sit in the car by claiming to be officers of 'Delhi Police'. After that, they threatened him and started demanding a huge amount of money from him. But the victim did not panic. As soon as he got a chance, he somehow escaped from their clutches and immediately informed the police.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, Inspector Rajeev Kumar and his team immediately started the investigation under the supervision of ACP Ranveer Singh. Footage of dozens of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site was examined. Although the number of the car used in the incident was not clear, the police traced the location and movement of the vehicle with their intelligence.

Police reached after tracing the vehicle

The investigation finally revealed that the car was registered in the name of a young man named Pravesh, who lives in Safdarjung Enclave and is a native of Jaipur. When the police took him into custody, the whole matter came to light. Pravesh not only confessed his role in the crime, but also revealed the names of the other four accomplices. He told that he was driving the car during the crime and four of his companions were also present in the car with him.

Based on his information, the police arrested the other accused from their hideouts. Pravesh is from Jaipur, Aryaman is from Himachal Pradesh, Hrithik is from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, Dev Anand is from Alwar, Rajasthan and Sarman Rai is from Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. All of them are graduates.
