Saudi Arabia has also joined the US-Israel war. According to a New York Times report, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Saudi Arabia's leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is siding with the US against Iran.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump was asked whether Prince Mohammed bin Salman was encouraging the US to do certain things related to Iran.

Responding to this question, President Trump replied, "Yes, he is doing that. He is a warrior. He is fighting alongside us."

The New York Times report also claimed that the Saudi prince is arguing that the US-Israeli military campaign is a historic opportunity to remake the Middle East and that Trump should continue the war against Tehran.

Why did Saudi Arabia stand against Iran?

Over the past week, the Crown Prince has expressed his full support for a decisive and sustained campaign aimed at overthrowing Iran's radical Shia regime, the New York Times reported.

People familiar with the matter said Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told Trump that Iran poses a long-term threat to the Gulf region, which can only be eliminated by removing its government.
