Sanskrit Shlokas

1. “Udyamen hi sidhyanti karyani na manorathai.

 

Na hi suptasya simhasya pravisanti mukhe mrigah.

 

Meaning - It is said in this shloka that a person's work cannot be completed just by wishing, rather a person has to make efforts to fulfill his wishes. For example, a deer does not walk into the mouth of a sleeping lion, for this the lion has to work hard on his own.

 

2. “Yogastha: Kuru Karmani Sangam Tyktva Dhananjay.

 

Siddhayasiddhayo: Samo Bhootva Samatvam Yoga Uchyate.

 

Meaning – In this verse, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that O Dhananjay! (Arjuna) you should do your work by abandoning attachment and taking equal feelings towards success and failure. Such equality is called yoga. That is, while doing his work, a person should continue doing his work by abandoning attachment and considering success and failure as equal. 

 

3. “Uttistha Jagrat Prapya Varannibodhat.

 

Kshurasannadhara Nishita Duratyaddurgam Pathastatkavyo Vadanti.

 

Meaning - This shloka is said to inspire humans to get up, wake up and achieve their goals. The paths can be difficult and extremely difficult, but success can be achieved only by walking on difficult paths.

 

4. Neither Chorharya, nor Rajaharya, nor Bhratribhajya, nor Ch Bharkari

 

Meaning - In this shloka, the importance of education is explained and it is said that education is such a wealth which cannot be stolen or snatched, which cannot be divided among brothers, which is not at all difficult to manage and which increases more when spent. Education is the best wealth.
