Sandeep Dikshit On Mithun Chakraborty: Politics has heated up after BJP leader and Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty demanded imposition of President's rule in West Bengal. Congress leader Sandeep Dixit has reacted to this. He said that Mithun Chakraborty should pay attention to the repeated reports coming from there, which say that people from many communal organizations are creating a ruckus there in Muslim guise. He should also investigate this.

BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty demanded the central government to impose President's rule in the state citing bad law and order after the Murshidabad violence. He said, "I am requesting the Home Minister to deploy the army inside for at least two months during the elections. If the army is deployed, fair elections will be possible."

Mithun Chakraborty called Bengal police a spectator

Mithun Chakraborty has made a big statement about the West Bengal Police and called them 'spectators'. Talking to news agency IANS, he said, "The situation in the state is very worrying and the police is just setting up a chair and watching the spectacle and then returning." Mithun Chakraborty raised questions on the working style of the Bengal Police. He said, "The police comes only to watch the function. Wherever riots are taking place, they set up a chair and watch the spectacle and then quietly go back."

'The role of the police is no longer to maintain law and order'

The BJP leader further said, "The role of the police is no longer to maintain law and order, but to be a mute spectator." Along with this, he questioned the attitude of the state government regarding the Wakf Act. On the violence in Murshidabad, West Bengal, over the Wakf Act, he said that Hindus are being selectively targeted.
